THE SHOE : SUITCASE , TRUNK • PRINTED AT ACTUAL SIZE
The antique suitcase rigged with digital instruments and amplification is at the center of actress Jena Malone’s post modern performance called "The Shoe”. Riffing off “There was an old woman who lives in her shoe”, the suitcase represents the portable living space where all a woman needs is her music.
Rogue performances publicized only by word of mouth are staged on street corners, hotel rooms, roof tops, river basins and other non traditional locals. Yarrow Earth Hock’s images of The Shoe became immediate symbols representing this unique collaboration.
